Embark on a 5-day journey from Marrakech to Fes via the Sahara desert, exploring incredible places in 5 days and 4 nights. Discover the high Atlas mountains, the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, and the historic Ait-Ben-Haddou Kasbah, along with Ouarzazate city. Explore the Amridil Kasbah, Dades valley, and the breathtaking Todra gorges. Venture into the Merzouga Sahara desert, ride camels, and experience magical sunsets and sunrises while spending a night in a desert camp. Explore the Sahara in a 4×4 car. Day 1 : Marrakech – Tizi-n-Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Once the driver meets you, the Perfect 5 Days Marrakech to Fes journey begins with a trip to Ouarzazate through the Berber villages. You’ll enjoy seeing the landscapes of the Atlas Mountains along the way. During the trip, we’ll pass through the famous Tizi N’Tichka pass, which stands at 2260 meters high over the High Atlas Mountains. As we travel, you’ll spot Berber villagers farming on their terraced lands and taking care of their sheep.
We’ll make a stop at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou to explore this ancient monument from the 18th century. It’s been used in many famous movies like The Mumy, Babel, The Prince of Persia, and more. Our tour will also include a visit to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa, where you’ll see the Kasbah of Touarirt and Cinema Studios. You’ll stay in Ouarzazate for the rest of the day and night.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges – Tinghir – Toudra Gorges
After breakfast, on the second day of the tour, we’ll visit Amerdhyle Kasbah in Skoura. Then, we’ll go to Dades Gorges through Kalaat M’Gouna, known as the Valley of Roses. The Dades Gorges are a bunch of rocky canyons made by the Dades River. There, you’ll see amazing sandcastles and a cool rock formation called monkey toes.
Next, we’ll head to Todra Gorges, which are canyons made of limestone by a river. People love hiking here, and you’ll have time to explore on your own. At the hotel, dinner will be served, and you’ll spend the night there.
Day 3: Toudra Gourges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga
After a tasty breakfast and a walk in the Gorges, we’ll continue our tour towards Erfoud, passing through Tinejdad Palm Groves where we’ll stop for lunch. When we get to Erfoud, you’ll see workshops where they work with fossils. Then, we’ll explore the track used for the Paris-Dakar rally before reaching the amazing Erg Chebbi dunes, where you’ll see a stunning sunset. In the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi, you’ll have an unforgettable night.
Day 4: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga
After breakfast, our tour keeps going to visit Khamlia village. There, you’ll hear Gnawa music and see their interesting way of life. After leaving the village, you’ll visit nomadic people in their tents. In Erg Chebbi, the biggest desert in Morocco, you’ll see amazing views of black volcanic rocks, the clear sky, huge palm trees, and magical sand dunes. You’ll stay overnight in a Berber tent, listening to drums played by a camel guide after dinner.
Day 5: Camel Trekking – Erg Chebbi – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes:
In the early morning, you will witness the amazing sunrise over the brilliant sand dunes. After having breakfast and a refreshing shower, the journey continues through the thousand Ziz-Palm trees. We will have a stop at Midelt (the capital of apples) to have lunch on Ayachi Mountain’s foot. Before we arrive at Fez, we will visit Cedar Forest, which is the largest in Morocco where different kinds of birds and apes live, and Ifrane city (the Switzerland of Morocco).
After arriving at Fez, you will check into a hotel.
