This 8-day imperial cities tour from Casablanca links Morocco’s four imperial capitals with two of its most photographed towns, all on one private route. You’ll head north for a proper Casablanca to Chefchaouen tour, swing out to Tangier, then work back through Meknes into two full nights in Fes for a real Fes and Meknes exploration before finishing in Marrakech.

It’s a private trip, so it’s just you and your driver-guide, with a pace you can adjust as you go. If you want a Morocco cultural heritage tour that gives each city real time instead of a rushed drive-through, this route is built for that.

What you’ll see along the way :

  • Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, built right on the Atlantic
  • A full Rabat city tour: Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Kasbah of the Oudayas, and the Chellah necropolis
  • The blue lanes and mountain air of Chefchaouen
  • Tangier’s Kasbah, medina, and the meeting point of the Atlantic and Mediterranean
  • Asilah’s whitewashed streets and mural-covered walls
  • Imperial Meknes and the Roman ruins at Volubilis
  • Two full days in Fes, including a guided walk through Fes el Bali
  • The cedar forests around Ifrane and Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques
  • Marrakech’s medina, souks, and Jemaa el-Fna square

8 Days /7 Night

Your driver-guide meets you at the airport, port, or hotel in Casablanca. Once you're settled, head to Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and one of the few in Morocco that non-Muslim visitors can enter. The minaret rises directly over the ocean, and the interior is worth the visit even if religious architecture isn't usually your thing. Depending on your arrival time, there's room for a short walk along the Corniche before dinner. Overnight in Casablanca.

Everything below keeps this Morocco cultural heritage tour simple to plan, with only a handful of extras left for you to cover along the way.

It covers the same four imperial cities, Rabat, Meknes, Fes, and Marrakech, but this version adds a full two days in the north for Chefchaouen and Tangier instead of passing through quickly. If you'd rather trade the north for a Sahara extension, that can usually be arranged instead.
