Casablanca is where most visitors land, and it’s also a solid starting point for the Sahara. Below are eight private Morocco tours from Casablanca, from a quick 4-day Casablanca to Sahara desert tour to a full 14-day loop around the country. Every tour includes a private driver and at least one night camping in the desert. If none of these fit exactly, tell us your dates and we’ll adjust one.
You won’t be grouped with other travelers unless you ask to be. Tell us your dates, group size, and what you want to see, and we’ll set up a private Morocco tour from Casablanca around it.
Our driver adjusted the stops based on what we actually wanted to photograph, and the night in the desert camp was the best part of the whole trip.
Casablanca is far from the dunes, which is why most Casablanca desert tours take two days each way instead of one. Driving straight through would take close to nine or ten hours, so tours break up the trip with stops in the Atlas Mountains and towns like Ait Ben Haddou.
Every tour on this page can be booked as a private trip with your own driver and vehicle. If you'd rather share a vehicle with other travelers to lower the cost, mention it when you inquire and we'll check what's available.
Most packages cover private transport, a driver-guide, one or two nights in a desert camp, and breakfast and dinner while you're in the desert. Lunches, entry fees, and camel rides are often listed as separate add-ons, so check the details on each tour.
Merzouga has taller dunes and photographs better, but it's a longer drive from Casablanca. Zagora is closer and fits the shorter tours above, like the 4 or 5-day options.
ctober through April is the most comfortable stretch, since summer daytime heat in the desert regularly passes 40°C. Spring and autumn nights are also clearer, which matters if you want a good view of the stars.
es. All eight are starting points, not fixed plans. We regularly add extra nights, swap a stop, or slow the pace down for families or older travelers.
A few weeks ahead is a safer bet, especially from October to April when desert camps are busiest. Shorter tours can sometimes be arranged with only a few days' notice if you're flexible on dates.
