Embark on a 3-day desert journey from Fez to Marrakech, exploring the rich history and traditions of these ancient Moroccan cities. Begin in Fez, the oldest imperial city and religious capital, and venture through diverse landscapes, including mountains, plateaus, palm groves, and the stunning desert dunes of Merzouga. The adventure concludes in the vibrant red city of Marrakech.
Day 1: Fes – Midelt - Merzouga
Start your day with breakfast at your hotel, then head to Merzouga through Errachidia and Erfoud. Enjoy the captivating Ziz Gorge, with views of the High Atlas plateau. Notice the landscape transitioning to desert hints as you near Errachidia, where you’ll have lunch and experience Berber hospitality. Continue through the lush Ziz Valley, making stops for panoramic views on your way to Erfoud and the Merzouga desert. Wrap up the day with dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, hop on a 4×4 for an adventure to meet nomad families and see how they live in Berber tents. Enjoy a local meal, Berber pizza, for lunch. After some free time to relax, ride a camel through the Erg Chebbi dunes in the afternoon. Arrive at your desert camp, where you’ll have dinner under the stars, accompanied by Berber music. Spend the night in your camp.
Day 3: Merzouga - Toudra Gorges -Ait Ben Haddou kasbah - Marrakech
Start your day with breakfast, then rise early to catch the beautiful sunrise. Ride your camel back to Merzouga, then leave the desert and head to Rissani, Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Tinghir. Follow the scenic Rose Valley, passing old ruined kasbahs and green oases in Skoura with palm tree groves and kasbahs. Continue to Ouarzazate for lunch and a visit to the 17th-century Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Studio, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Finally, depart for Marrakesh via the Tizi n Tichka pass, making a stop to admire the Telouet Kasbah. Arrive in Marrakesh, and that concludes our services.
