Tours from Tangier

The five tours here run from four to twelve days, but we also arrange single day tours from Tangier for travelers with less time, most commonly to Chefchaouen or along the northern coast. Ask us directly and we'll put together a one-day plan.

It can, though the drive alone is close to five hours round trip, which leaves only a few hours in Chefchaouen itself. The 4-day version above gives you a full day and night there instead, worth it if photos and wandering the blue streets are the main reason you're going.

Quite far. The desert tours from Tangier cover close to nine hours of driving each way to reach Merzouga, which is why the 7-day itinerary spreads the route across the Middle Atlas and Fez instead of driving straight through.

Warmer layers even in summer, since desert nights cool down fast once the sun goes down. A scarf or headwrap helps with wind and dust, and a flashlight is useful since camps usually run on generator power for only part of the evening.

Spring and autumn are the most comfortable, with mild temperatures in the north and manageable heat on routes that reach the desert. Summer still works for the shorter northern tours, but gets uncomfortably hot on the desert legs of the longer itineraries.
