Finally, return to Casablanca, concluding an unforgettable adventure through Morocco’s rich heritage and diverse landscapes.
Day 1 : Arrival to Casablanca
The tour begins with a pick-up from the airport, the port, or your place where you’re staying in Casablanca. This city is known as the main economic hub and the biggest city in Morocco. Our first stop will be at the Hassan II mosque, which happens to be the largest mosque in Morocco. It sits on the west coast of the city, offering views over the Atlantic ocean. You’ll have some free time for lunch. Afterward, we’ll explore more of the city and take a visit to the incredible Cornish of Casablanca. Your overnight stay will be at a hotel.
Day 2 : Casablanca – Rabat the capital – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we’ll drive along the coast to Rabat, which is one of Morocco’s old cities and the capital right now. You’ll get to see the main sights like the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and The Kasbah of Oudaya. You’ll have some free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll head north through Ouazzane and arrive at the Blue city of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. This place is known for its buildings and narrow streets painted in beautiful shades of white and blue. You’ll spend the night at a hotel there.
Day 3 : Chefchaouen- the Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, take your time to explore the charming blue alleyways of Chefchaouen. Then, we’ll drive to see the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. These ruins are well preserved and have been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are lots of beautiful mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways scattered around. After wandering through the ruins, we’ll travel 30 kilometers to reach the city of Meknes. It’s known as the Ismaili capital and is one of Morocco’s imperial cities. There, we’ll visit Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stable, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Finally, we’ll head to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a Riad.
Day 4 : guided tour sightseeing Fes
After breakfast, we’ll explore the main attractions of the city with the help of a local guide. Fes is an important city in Morocco, known for its culture and religion.
We’ll begin by visiting the Royal Palace gate and then head to the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll see the Blue gate, also called Bab Boujloud, marking the entrance to the old Medina. Inside, we’ll explore The Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, and the Tanneries. We’ll also visit the Quaraouin mosque and university, which is recognized as the oldest university globally. Leaving the Medina, we’ll head to the Jewish quarter, known as “the Mellah”. In the afternoon, we’ll drive to an ancient fortress to admire a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Finally, we’ll return to your Riad.
Day 5 : Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara
After a cozy breakfast, we’ll head south through Imouzzer to see Ifrane, a place known for its chilly weather, snow, and houses that look like those in the Alps – which is why it’s nicknamed the Switzerland of Morocco. Then we’ll visit the cedar forest where Barbary macaque monkeys live. You can spend time with them and even give them some food while you explore the woods. Afterward, we’ll journey to Midelt where you’ll have some free time for lunch. Following that, we’ll travel to Merzouga, passing through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the Ziz valley. We’ll stop at certain spots along the way to take in the amazing views.
In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Then, you’ll switch to camels to ride across the sandy desert. We’ll pause on a tall dune to watch the sunset before continuing to the desert camp. The camp combines the traditional tents of nomads with the comforts of a hotel. Here, you can enjoy Berber drum music, dance around a campfire, all beneath the vast open sky full of stars. Dinner and an overnight stay will be in the camp.
Day 6 : Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Get up early in the morning to watch the pretty sunrise in the desert. After having breakfast, ride back to Merzouga on camels where the driver is waiting for you. We’ll leave the desert to go to Rissani, an old important town called the capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is famous for its big market that’s busy on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
After exploring Rissani’s market, we’ll head to Erfoud to visit a workshop where they make things from fossilized marble. Then we’ll drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra river has made a big canyon between mountains, creating tall red cliffs. This place is good for people who like to climb rocks. You can walk around the gorges and enjoy the beautiful views. We’ll have lunch in a restaurant, and then we’ll continue to the Dades valley passing through Boumalne Dades. We’ll stop at the “monkey fingers” rock and a spot on a mountain where you can see the Dades valley from above. Finally, we’ll have dinner and stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 7 : Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah- Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After we eat breakfast, we’ll keep going on our trip to a place called Kalaa Magouna. There, we’ll visit the Rose Valley. Every May, they have a Rose Festival where local people share things they make from roses like perfumes, rose water, oils, and beauty things. After that, we’ll drive through the palm trees in Skoura. Later, we’ll get to Ouarzazate, which some people call the door to the desert. We’ll visit the studios where they filmed lots of famous movies. Then we’ll go see the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a really old village that’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s been in movies like Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and TV shows like Game Of Thrones. After that, we’ll head to Marrakech, driving through a mountain pass called Tizi-N-Tichka and the amazing High Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop for lunch and take pictures at cool places. Finally, we’ll arrive in Marrakech and stay overnight in a Riad.
Day 8 : Marrakech – Casablanca
In the last day, we drive north to Casablanca airport, we will make stops for panoramic views. Then transfer you to the airport . End of the 8 day morocco tour.
