DAY 1 : FES DAY EXPLORATION
On the first day of your 7-day tour from Fez, your driver will provide a brief overview. You’ll explore Fes, the country’s spiritual capital, and its oldest city. Wander through crowded souks, historical monuments, and epic alleyways. Highlights include the Royal Palace gate, Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, and the Attarine museum. After lunch, delve into Fes El Bali, an UNESCO World Heritage site with colorful Moroccan craftwork. The day ends with a visit to the new city for a relaxing drink. Stay overnight in a Hotel/Riad.
DAY 2 : FES – IFRAN – AZROU – MIDELT - ERRACHIDIA – SAHARA DESERT
After breakfast, we’ll leave Fes to explore the High Atlas Mountains, a beautiful region. Starting in Ifran, a tidy city that feels like Switzerland in the Middle Atlas. Our journey continues through the Cedar Forest, inhabited by endangered Barbary Apes. Passing Tizi Ntalghamtt and Ziz Gorges, we reach Tafilalt oases. After lunch in Errachidia, enjoy Berber hospitality. Passing Erfoud and Rissani with panoramic views of Ziz Valley, we arrive in Merzouga. Welcomed with a glass of mint tea in our riad, you’ll mount a camel for a desert adventure. Relax in nomad tents, witness a stunning sunset over golden dunes, and enjoy dinner under the stars. Upon request, Berber nomads may play traditional music around the campfire. Our camp has western bathrooms and showers for your comfort.
DAY 3 : MERZOUGA – SAHARA OASIS - TODGHA GORGE – DADES VALLEY
Your camel guide will wake you early for a breathtaking sunrise, creating a lasting memory. Camel-trek back to Merzouga, marveling at the ever-changing colors of Erg Chebbi’s sand dunes. After breakfast, head to Dads Valley (Road of a Thousand Kasbahs) via Rissani and Erfoud, known for fossils. Pass through Tinghir to Todra Gorges, the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco, offering a spectacular natural wonder. The gorge walls reach 300 meters, and you can walk beneath them. Drive through Dads Valley, witnessing majestic sand castles and unique rock formations called “monkey toes,” surrounded by picturesque Berber villages.
DAY 4 : DADES VALLEY - SKOURA’S VALLEY - OUARZAZATE- MARRAKECH
After breakfast, our journey takes us through The Dades Valley, a captivating stretch along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. We’ll pause at Kalaa-Mgouna, known as “the rose city,” famous for its annual rose festival. Here, you can purchase rosewater and various local cosmetic products. Moving on to Skoura and the bird’s valley, you’ll encounter mud brick Kasbahs, notably the well-preserved Kasbah of Ameridil. After some valley hiking, lunch awaits at a restaurant with a panoramic view.
The tour continues to Ouarzazate, dubbed “the Hollywood of Africa,” attracting filmmakers with its geography and landscapes. We’ll explore the UNESCO-protected Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, renowned for its beauty. Heading to Marrakech via the Tizin’tichka pass, we’ll stop at the town of Telouet, featuring an ancient 17th-century Kasbah. The Tizin’tichka road offers splendid views of Berber villages. In the afternoon, enjoy free time in Marrakech, wandering in Djemâa El-Fna, sipping drinks from rooftop restaurants. Our overnight stay is at a local riad in Marrakech.
DAY 5 : SIGHTSEEING IN MARRAKECH
Marrakech embodies Morocco’s exotic culture and charm, a journey guided by our local expert. Explore the 12th-century Koutoubia mosque, the vibrant Majorelle Garden by Jacques Majorelle, and the historic Saadian Tombs adorned with mosaic tiles. After a lunch break, delve into the mesmerizing souks, including the unique Babouche Souk, Chouari Market, El-Attarine Souk, and Cherratine Souk. Wander through Djemâa El-Fna square, where evening delights unfold with snake charmers, singers, acrobats, and storytellers. Conclude your day in the enchanting atmosphere of a riad.
DAY 6 : MARRAKECH - CASABLANCA - RABAT
After breakfast, embark on a 3-hour drive to Casablanca, Morocco’s main commercial capital. Explore the impressive Hassan II Mosque, the world’s second-largest mosque, perched above the ocean—a remarkable feat of Moroccan architecture. Visit Place Mohamed V, showcasing historic government buildings. Continue the journey to Rabat, the capital, where you’ll discover the iconic Hassan Tower and the 11th-century Andalusian-style Oudaias Kasbah.
