Embark on a 14-day private tour of Morocco, beginning in Casablanca. Discover cities like Rabat, Tangier, Chefchaouen, and Fes with its historic old town. Venture through the Atlas Mountains to experience the Sahara Desert, enjoying camel rides and campfires. Explore desert oases and ancient Kasbahs en route to Marrakech, passing by local Berber villages in the High Atlas Mountains. Continue your journey to coastal towns like Essaouira before returning to conclude the tour in Casablanca.

Tour Overview

Day 1 : Arrival – Casablanca – Rabat

When you arrive in Casablanca near the beautiful ocean, our local driver guide will be there to welcome you at the airport exit. They’ll then take you to the hotel in Rabat, which is about an hour’s drive away. Once you arrive in Rabat, you can check in and have some free time to relax. 

Day 2 : Rabat - Tangier

After having breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head to Tangier. When you arrive, you’ll explore the city and its nearby places like Spartel Cape and the Hercules Caves. You’ll see beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the famous Strait of Gibraltar, perfect for taking photos. During the day, you’ll visit the Old Medina of Tangier, the Kasbah, the Roman cemetery, and the Grand Socco. Later, you’ll check in at the hotel and spend the night in Tangier.       

Day 3 : Tangier – Chefchaouen

After having breakfast at the hotel, you’ll travel to Chefchaouen. This old town is filled with blue houses, bustling squares, and narrow streets. The best way to discover its beauty is by wandering around. Your afternoon tour will take you to Outa-el-Hammam square, the cobblestone medina, and the Tarik-Ben-Ziad mosque, which has a minaret inspired by the Torre de Oro in Seville. The Andalusian-style architecture is seen in the Kasbah and its gardens at the center of the town. The rest of the day is yours to explore and enjoy the charm of Chefchaouen at your own pace.

DAY 4 : CHEFCHAOUEN – MEKNES - FES

After having breakfast at your riad, you’ll begin your journey to Fes, passing through Ouazzane and the Roman site of Volubilis. After a few hours of driving, you’ll arrive at Volubilis, a well-preserved Roman city dating back to 225 BC. Here, you’ll see some of the most beautiful mosaics in Morocco from the 3rd century BC. You’ll have a guided tour of the site to learn about the Roman Empire.

Next, we’ll head to Meknes, the former capital of Morocco under Sultan My Ismail. In Meknes, you’ll see interesting places like the impressive Bab Mansour gate, the granary, and the Sahrij Souani, which was used for irrigation and planting. Your visit also includes the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then, we’ll continue our journey to Fes via the highway. You’ll spend the night at the hotel.

Day 5 : Guided Tour of Fes

We’ll begin exploring the oldest city in Morocco, wandering through its narrow streets and pathways. Our tour will start with a visit to the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, and the first Mellah (Jewish quarter) ever built in Morocco. We’ll make sure you see all the places with cultural and historical importance, including the famous Al Qaraouine University – the oldest university in this area, the Tanneries, and the Attarine museum. After lunch, you’ll visit a ceramic factory and enjoy a fantastic view of the entire Medina of Fes. Later in the afternoon, we’ll head to the newer part of the city, “La Ville nouvelle,” for a drink. You’ll spend the night at our Hotel/Riad. Breakfast included.

Day 6: Fes – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt

After breakfast, we’ll depart from Fes and head towards Ifrane, a pretty mountain village often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” On our way, you’ll see parts of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. We’ll make a stop at Azrou, a Berber village surrounded by the famous cedar forest (the biggest one in Morocco). Here, you might get the chance to see some Barbary apes. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in Midelt where we’ll spend the night at the hotel.

Day 7 : Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Dunes Night Camp

Today, we’ll keep driving towards the pre-Saharan area, passing through Errachidia and Erfoud. Erfoud is known for its pottery and fascinating fossils, which are a big deal there. About 350 million years ago, this area was under a vast ocean. You’ll be amazed by the colorful sand dunes of Erg Chebbi at Merzouga, rising up on the horizon. When we reach the village, we’ll hop into 4×4 vehicles to reach the camp located in the middle of the Sahara Desert. 

Day 8: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, you’ll experience the sunrise view and return to Merzouga village by Jeep. From there, we’ll head to Tinjdad where we’ll stop briefly to experience Hinna and Th traditions with a local family. Then, we’ll reach Todra Gorges, the tallest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. We’ll have lunch in the gorge and later drive through Dades Valley, where you’ll see impressive sand castles and unique rock formations known as “monkey toes.” You’ll spend the night at our hotel.

Day 9: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate

After having breakfast at the hotel, we’ll travel through Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Marrakech. The road through Dades Valley is known as the way of the thousand kasbahs – offering many chances to capture some of the best photos of your trip. We’ll make a stop at Kalaa Mgouna, also called “the rose city,” to buy rosewater, which will keep your linen smelling fresh long after your trip ends. Next, we’ll head to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. It was built by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th century and is now home to many Glaoui people. After that, we’ll reach our hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 10 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou- Marrakech

Today, you’ll visit the well-known Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. It’s the biggest Kasbah in Morocco, constructed by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chiefs, towards the late 19th century. He used it as a stop during his trade trips to Timbuctu in Mali. Nowadays, many members of the Glaoui family live in the Kasbah. After visiting the Kasbah, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech.

Day 11 : Marrakech Guided Tour

Today is a day for exploring Marrakech, a significant city in the south. You’ll see various attractions like the Koutoubia Mosque with its impressive tower, the Majorelle Garden filled with different plants, the Saadian Tombs adorned in colorful mosaic tiles from the 16th century, and the Bahia Palace showcasing beautiful eastern architecture from the 19th century. We’ll take a break for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, you’ll have time to wander through the captivating Souks and narrow streets around Djemâa El-Fna Square. In the evening, you’ll be delighted by the performances of snake charmers, singers, acrobats, dancers, and storytellers as they entertain in different groups around the square. Enjoy your dinner and spend the night at a hotel or Riad.

Day 12: Marrakech – Essaouira

After breakfast, we’ll head towards the ancient Portuguese city of Essaouira. Along the way, we’ll stop by an Argan factory to see how Argan Oil is made. Once we arrive at Essaouira’s coastal port, we’ll have lunch and savor some fresh seafood in the medina. We’ll stay overnight there.

Day 13: Essaouira – Safi – Oualidia – El Jadida - Casablanca

After breakfast, we’ll start our drive towards Casablanca, the business hub of Morocco. On the way, we’ll see beautiful views as we pass through Safi and Oualidia. We’ll stop for a tasty seafood lunch in Oualidia. Then, we’ll visit the old medina of El Jadida, founded by the Portuguese in 1513 and formerly known as Mazagan. Finally, we’ll reach Casablanca, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 14 : Transfer To The Airport

We’ll have a guided tour in Casablanca to see the Hassan II Mosque. After that, we’ll head to the airport, which marks the end of our Private Guided 14 Days Morocco Tour that started from Casablanca.
