Day 1 : Arrival in Casablanca and Tour of Rabat
At the beginning of your 12-day Sahara Desert tour, we’ll show you around Casablanca, a bustling coastal city with lots to see. On the first day, we’ll visit major attractions like the impressive Hassan II Mosque. This mosque was built by famous French architect Michel Pinseau to celebrate the 60th birthday of the former Moroccan King Hassan II. During our 12-day adventure in Morocco, we’ll also explore the historic Medina and Corniche, which you’ll find really interesting.
Day 2 : Exploring Rabat and Travel to Tangier
Today, as part of your 12-day Morocco adventure, we’ll explore Rabat, which is the capital city of Morocco. You’ll get to see amazing places like the Udayas Kasbah, the famous Hassan Tower, and the tombs of Moroccan King Mohammed V. After that, we’ll fly to Tangier, a great historic city in the north of Morocco. Before you stay overnight at a Riad or hotel, we’ll visit places like the Cave of Hercules, the Moroccan Art Museum, and the American Legation Museum.
Day 3 : Journey through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen
Today, as part of our 12-day Morocco tour starting from Casablanca, you’ll have a relaxed trip through the stunning Rif Mountains. You’ll get to see the lovely Akchour Waterfalls and visit Tetouan, known as the White Dove City. After that, we’ll reach Chefchaouen, famous for its blue and white buildings. Before you stay overnight at a Riad, we’ll explore the town’s historic places, like the Kasbah Museum, the Grand Mosque, and the Spanish Mosque.
Day 4 : Visit to Volubilis, Meknes, and Fes
On the fourth day of your 12-day trip through Morocco starting from Casablanca, we’ll visit Volubilis, an old Roman town with amazing Roman buildings like a big public square and an ancient Roman court. Then, we’ll go to Meknes, which is Morocco’s biggest imperial city. There, we’ll see historical places and tourist spots, including the impressive Bab Al-Mansour gate. Finally, we’ll end the day in Fes, where you’ll spend the night at a Riad.
Day 5 : Guided Tour of Fes
This 12-day Morocco tour has a guided visit to Fes, known as Morocco’s traditional industry hub and a center for learning. In Fes, you’ll explore places that show different civilizations, like the Al-Qarawiyyin University founded in 859 by Fatima Al-Fihri. You’ll also see the Chourara Tanneries, the Ceramic Cooperative, the Blue Gate, and the Marinid Tombs on a hill with a view of Fes’s old Medina. After the tour, you’ll stay overnight at the same Riad.
Day 6 : Travel to Merzouga via Ifran, Cedar Forest, and Ziz Valley
Today, you’ll have a picturesque trip through the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll make stops at Ifran and Azrou where you’ll see the pretty mountain town of Ifran and the amazing Cedar Forest. After that, we’ll head to the stunning Ziz Valley and then arrive at Erfoud. Finally, we’ll end the day in Merzouga, where you’ll stay overnight in a desert camp.
Day 7 : Explore Merzouga and Camel Trek
Today, you’ll get to explore Merzouga, a beautiful desert town near the Sahara. As part of your 12-day Morocco trip from Casablanca, you’ll see the amazing Erg Chebbi dunes and ride a camel through the desert to watch the sunset. Later, you’ll head back to your desert camp for dinner and entertainment, like traditional music and dancing.
Finally, as part of your 12-day tour, you’ll take a camel walk back to the camp where you can enjoy the starry night with music around a campfire.
Day 8 : From Merzouga to Rissani, then to Todra Gorges and the Dades Valley.
We’ll wake up early to see the sunrise over the dunes, then ride back to the riad on camels for breakfast and a shower. After that, we’ll drive to Ouarzazate through the Todra Gorges, Tinghir, and the Dades Valley. During this 12-day Morocco adventure, you’ll see the beautiful views of the Atlas Mountains, Berber villages, and Kasbahs.
Afterwards, we’ll head to Ouarzazate, known as a starting point for Sahara desert trips. You’ll spend the night in a riad there.
Day 9 : Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
During this day of your 12-day Grand Morocco Adventure, we’ll visit Ait Ben Haddou, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s been used as a setting for lots of Hollywood movies. After that, we’ll head to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass. You’ll see Berber villages and enjoy panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains along the way. We’ll get to Marrakech later in the afternoon, and you’ll spend the night at a riad there.
Day 10 : Discovering Marrakech
Today is your full day to explore the stunning city of Marrakech, often called the “Red City.” We’ll visit famous places like the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Majorelle Gardens. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the bustling markets (souks) and the Djemaa El Fna square, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you’ll experience local food, traditional music, and street performers. You’ll spend another night at the same riad.
Day 11 : Marrakech to Essaouira
After breakfast, we’ll head to Essaouira, a lovely village by the Atlantic Ocean. On our way, we’ll visit a cooperative where women make argan oil to learn about how it’s made. In Essaouira, you’ll explore the old town (medina) and the harbor, known for its delicious seafood. You’ll also have time to relax on the beautiful beach and experience the famous Gnawa music. You’ll spend the night at a riad there.
Day 12 : Essaouira to Casablanca or Marrakech
As we approach the end of your 12-day Grand Morocco Adventure starting from Casablanca, we want to let you know about our last service. On the final day, we’ll arrange transportation for you to the airport. Our team will drive you to either the Casablanca or Marrakech airport, depending on your choice. We know how important it is to be on time for flights, so we’ll make sure you reach the airport with plenty of time to spare.
