Join us for a 6-day tour of Morocco starting from Tangier! In these 6 days and 5 nights, you’ll experience Morocco in an amazing way. The adventure begins in Tangier where we’ll visit Cape Spartel and Hercules Cave. Then, we’ll journey through the Rif mountains, explore the charming blue city of Chefchaouen, and discover the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Our tour also includes sightseeing in Fes and Meknes, a visit to Ifrane (known as the Switzerland of Morocco) and the Cedar forest. Experience camel rides, witness the breathtaking sunset and sunrise in the Sahara desert at Merzouga. Explore the stunning Todra and Dades gorges, visit historic Kasbahs, and cross the High Atlas mountains through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. The tour concludes in Marrakech.
Day 1 : Arrival to Tangier – Chefchaouen
On the first day of your 6-day Morocco tour from Tangier, we’ll pick you up from where you’re staying, the airport, or the port in Tangier. Tangier is often called ‘the bride of the north’ and it’s located in the northwest, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean at Cape Spartel. To start, we’ll explore this beautiful city, visit the cave of Hercules, and see Cape Spartel. You’ll have some free time for lunch. After that, we’ll head inland toward Chefchaouen, passing through Tetouan city and the Rif mountains. Along the way, we’ll make stops for you to enjoy the amazing views. You’ll stay overnight in a hotel in Chefchaouen.
Day 2 : Chefchaouen- the Roman ruins of Volubilis- Meknes – Fes
After you have breakfast, take your time exploring the charming streets of the blue city, Chefchaouen. Then, we’ll drive to see the old Roman ruins of Volubilis. These ruins are in great condition and are even recognized as a really special place by UNESCO. You’ll see lots of beautiful mosaics spread around, along with ancient pillars and archways. After walking around the ruins, we’ll drive about 30 kilometers to visit Meknes, an important city from a long time ago. Here, we’ll see places like Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and finally, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After that, we’ll head to Fes, where you’ll stay overnight in a Riad.
Day 3 : guided tour sightseeing Fes
After you finish breakfast at your place in Fes, we’ll come to pick you up. Fes is a really important city in Morocco – it’s one of the old imperial cities and it’s known for being the cultural and religious center of the country. Our day starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate. Then, we’ll explore the old part of the city, the Medina, which is really old and well-kept. It’s even recognized as a special place by UNESCO. We’ll enter the Medina through the Blue gate or Bab Boujloud with the help of a local guide. Inside, we’ll see places like the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouin mosque and university, which is actually the oldest university in the world. After that, we’ll leave the Medina to visit the Jewish quarter called ‘the Mellah’. Later, we’ll drive to an old fortress to enjoy a wide view of the city and the Medina. Finally, we’ll take you back to your Riad.
Day 4 : Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara
After you’ve had breakfast, our 6-day Morocco tour from Tangier keeps going towards the south through Imouzzer. We’ll visit Ifrane, which is famous for being really cold, snowy, and having houses that look like the ones in the Alps. That’s why some people call it the Switzerland of Morocco. Then, we’ll head to the cedars forest where you’ll find Barbary macaques, and you can even feed them while walking around in the forest. After that, we’ll go to Midelt, where you’ll have some time to have lunch on your own. Later on, we’ll drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz valley. We’ll stop at some spots to see the amazing views. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the Sahara desert in Merzouga. Here, you’ll switch to riding camels and cross the sandy desert. We’ll stop on top of a big dune to watch the sunset. Then, we’ll head to the camp. It’s a mix of traditional nomadic tents and the comfort of a hotel. Here, you can enjoy Berber drum music and dance around a campfire under the big starry sky. You’ll stay overnight in the camp.
Day 5 : Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Waking up early in the morning is a great idea to see the beautiful sunrise. After that, you’ll have time for breakfast. Then, we’ll leave the desert and head to Rissani town, which used to be the capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a big trading center, especially bustling on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays when there’s a lively market. After exploring the market in Rissani, we’ll go to Erfoud, where we’ll visit a workshop that makes things out of fossilized marble. Next, we’ll drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves until we reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra river has made a big canyon through the mountains. This tall canyon with red cliffs is perfect for people who like to climb rocks. You’ll have time to walk around and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Then, we’ll stop for lunch at a restaurant. After that, we’ll head to the Dades valley passing through Boumalne Dades. We’ll make some stops along the way to see the ‘monkey fingers’ rock formation and a spot on a mountain where you can see the Dades valley from above. Dinner and where you’ll stay overnight will be in a hotel.
Day 6 : Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah- Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakesh
After breakfast, our 6-day Morocco tour from Tangier heads to Kalaa Magouna to see the Rose Valley. Every May, locals celebrate a Rose Festival where they show and sell rose products like perfumes, rose water, oils, and beauty items. Next, we’ll drive through Skoura’s palm groves and visit the Amredhyle Kasbah. Then, we’ll get to Ouarzazate. There, we’ll visit the studios where famous movies were filmed and the Taourirt Kasbah.
Next on our list is the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village that’s really special – UNESCO even calls it a World Heritage Site. You might recognize it from movies like Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and TV shows like Game Of Thrones. After that, we’ll visit the Telouet Kasbah. Then, we’ll head to Marrakesh by going through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop for lunch and take photos at cool places along the way. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your Riad accommodation in Marrakesh, and that’s the end of our tour.
