Embark on an 8-day Moroccan adventure that takes you through an incredible cultural journey. Starting in Casablanca, traverse to Rabat and then the picturesque Chefchaouen. Visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, Meknes, and Fes. Immerse in Fes’s wonders with a guided tour before heading through Ifrane, the Cedars forest, and the vast landscapes to reach the enchanting Merzouga Sahara. Journey through Rissani, Erfoud, and Todra Gorges to the captivating Dades Valley. Explore Skoura’s Palm Groves and the majestic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah before crossing the High Atlas Mountains to reach vibrant Marrakech. Finally, return to Casablanca, concluding an unforgettable adventure through Morocco’s rich heritage and diverse landscapes.
Day 01: Casablanca - Rabat
When you arrive, we’ll begin your special trip in Morocco. We’ll go to Casablanca to see the beautiful countryside. Our first stop is the Hassan II Mosque, which is really big and has stunning decorations made by very skilled craftsmen. After that, we’ll go to Rabat, which is the capital of Morocco, and visit the old Chellah fortress, which is very interesting and has been there for a very long time.
Our tour in Morocco also includes seeing the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. They were built to honor King Mohamed V, who died in 1961, and his son Hassan II, who passed away in 1999. They are both buried there.
Finally, before we go to the hotel, we’ll make a quick stop at Oudaya Kasbah.
Day 02: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez:
Our tour in Morocco continues after a nice Moroccan breakfast. We’ll meet you at 8:00 AM in the lobby and leave Rabat to go to Fez. On our way, we’ll pass through Meknes, an old city built by a local group called the Berber tribe.
Meknes has a lot of old places to see like Bab Mansour, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and the really old Royal Stable. After that, we’ll head northeast to see the Volubilis ‘Roman Ruins,’ a special place that’s considered very important by UNESCO. This place’s history goes back to about 3,000 years ago.
The Berber name for this place is ‘Oualili,’ which means ‘oleander plant.’ You’ll have an official guide with you who knows a lot about this place and will show you all its secrets. After that, we’ll continue our trip in Morocco and go to Fez. We should get there later in the afternoon, and you’ll stay overnight at the Hotel/Riad.
Day 03: Fes Exploration:
After you finish your tasty Moroccan breakfast, we’ll meet you at the front desk around 9:00 AM. Then, we’ll take you on a whole day trip around Fez, which is the oldest city of Morocco’s four big cities.
With a special local guide just for you, we’ll see all the important and interesting places in Fez. We’ll visit the University of Al Karaouine, which was started by a woman named Fatima al Fihri way back in 859. Some people think it might be the oldest university in the world!
We’ll also explore the old part of Fez called Fez El Bali, which has stayed just like it was in the old times. Our walk will take us to see the beautiful Bou Inania Medrasa too. Later in the day, we’ll bring you back to the hotel.
Day 04: Fez – Ifran – Ziz Valley – Merzouga:
We’ll start our trip again after we eat breakfast. Our adventure in Morocco keeps going as we leave Fez and head southeast toward the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi.
While we’re on our way, you’ll see parts of the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll make a stop at the Cedar Forest where you can see Barbary macaques, a kind of monkey. Then, we’ll continue through the mountains until we reach Midelt.
After having lunch in Midelt, our trip in Morocco will carry on. As we drive, you’ll notice the scenery slowly changing to show signs of the desert as we get closer to Errachidia.
Our journey in Morocco will take us through the beautiful Ziz Valley and the Tafilalet palm grove, where they grow lots of dates. This area is very important because it’s where the Alaouite dynasty, the royal family of Morocco, comes from. We’ll stay overnight at a Riad or Hotel in Merzouga
Day 05: Explore Merzouga:
Today, we’ll explore the Sahara Desert. So, after we eat breakfast, our day starts with a journey into the Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert in Merzouga.
First, we’ll visit the old market of Rissani, which used to be called Sijilmassa. This market was super important for trade caravans that traveled between Sub-Saharan countries and Marrakesh.
Then, we’ll drive to Khamlia village where we can try Moroccan Pizza at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll prepare for a camel ride through the golden sand dunes of Merzouga. You’ll spend the night sleeping under the stars in a desert camp.
Day 06: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Boumalne Dades
Early in the morning, your camel guide will wake you up so you can see an amazing sunrise. You’ll see the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which look different and really beautiful as the light changes throughout the day.
After breakfast, we’ll continue our tour in Morocco and head to Todra Gorges. These gorges are the tallest and narrowest ones in the southern part of Morocco. Once we’ve had lunch, we’ll drive through Dades Valley. Here, you’ll see some incredible sand castles and rock formations that look like ‘monkey toes.’ To finish off the day, we’ll stay overnight at a hotel in Dades Valley.
Day 07: Dades – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Atlas Mountain – Marrakech
Right after breakfast, we’ll leave for Marrakech. On the way, we’ll pass through the Rose Valley and stop at a place where they make rose products, so you can see how they’re made. Then, we’ll go through the Skoura Palm grove and reach Ouarzazate, known as the ‘Hollywood of Africa.’ Many famous movies like “Gladiator,” “Lawrence of Arabia,” and “The Mummy” were filmed here.
After that, we’ll head to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ksar or Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. It’s a really amazing old fortified city on a hill by the Ounila river. We’ll drive through the Atlas Mountains on a fantastic road called the Tichka Pass, which is really high above sea level. On the way to Marrakech, we’ll take a break for a cup of coffee.
Finally, we’ll arrive at the red city of Marrakech, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 08: Exploring Marrakech
This journey in Morocco lets us discover Marrakech, known as ‘the Red City of Morocco.’ After breakfast, we’ll have a guided tour of Marrakech to explore its beauty and learn about Moroccan life.
We’ll visit important places with a lot of history and culture, like the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian tombs, the beautiful Bahia Palace, and the Ben Youssef Madrasa.
Later in the morning, we’ll walk through the narrow streets of the medina where craftsmen show their work. Eventually, we’ll reach the famous Jamaa El Fna Square. For lunch, we’ll go to a restaurant near the square. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore and enjoy the local atmosphere.
Day 09: Marrakech – Essaouira
On Day 9 of your Morocco Tour, we’ll begin with breakfast at the hotel. After that, we’ll pick you up and head towards the breezy town of Essaouira. On the way, we might see goats climbing Argan trees to eat the fruit, and you can take pictures if you’d like.
When we arrive, we’ll have lunch at a restaurant near the beach. Then, we’ll keep exploring Essaouira with a private guide to show us around. After the guided tour, you’ll have some free time to explore the town on your own
Day 10: Essaouira To Casablanca
After we finish breakfast, we’ll take a drive along the coast to reach Casablanca International Airport, where we’ll drop you off.
